The Appeal Process
Halmar Friesen Racing quickly announced their intention to appeal, claiming the failure was “caused by a part malfunction that occurred during the race by circumstances out of our control”. The team argued that the ride height violation resulted from an unintentional mechanical failure rather than deliberate rule-breaking.
